Who's Egg Is This?

I found this on one of my plant leaves when I cam home tonight:




It's definitely alive coz if I look really closely I can see it moving but I don't know what it is? Possibilities are Green Neon,Pygmy Cory or Sparkling Gourami.

There's no sign of any other eggs though so I can only assume they've been eaten.

How do I look after it, I have no idea where to start? I've removed it (on the leaf) into a very small bowl but I don't know if this is the best thing to do? i have another tank that I'm cycling but I'm guessing a daily dose of ammonia isn't going to do it much good.

I have NO idea about rearing fry atall but I'd love to keep this if I can. Heeeeeeelp!

Most probably the pygmy corys! It needs to be in the tank really. Try putting it in a container then putting the container in the tank. If not and it needs air put it back in the tank and hope for the best!

Like something floating in the top?

Yeah Pygmy is my best guess too!

Yes, a tub with water from the tank so the temp is kept right float it on the top.

If you have an air pump try turning it down alllllll the way and putting it in his tub for a bit. Give him some air.

It looks oval in pic? does it look oval to you?

Pygmy eggs are tiny round white eggs,and hatch within 3 days.

It is a bit oval.

I did think it was a coincidence that I've had no eggs but then I put the Sparklers in and 3 days later there's an egg. They've been croaking (which btw isn't atall creepy at 3am ) ?

To be honest I think it might be dead, it looks a bit different. I'll leave it there for a few days and see what happens.

I'll find the worst bit never knowing what it was!!!!

Snails egg???

I'm unsure what sparkler eggs look like,i only found fry,but they're bubble nest makers and the sparklers stay with it.

pygmy eggs are definately round.

I thought of it being a snail egg but I've seen no snails in my tank since the first few weeks. I haven't added any new plants for about 6 weeks either

How strange it all is. I bet I'll never know either!
