Who`s my fin chewer?

I know what yuor saying about shoaling, but I`ve kept the minmum number to 6. There are 7 rummy nose, 14 Neons and 6 Colombians. I have seen the Male Ram chasing but not nipping. Its more than a nip as well, I`ve had neons with probably two thirds of the tail gone in the morning. My tank:

14 Neons
7 Rummy nose
6 Colombians
1 Betta (male)
3 Clown Loach 90 litre, well planted
2 Corys
1 Bristlenose
2 Rams
2 Peacock Gobies
1 Sparkling Gourami
1 Dwarf Croaking Gourami

Sounds like you need to do a Sherlock Holmes here, waiting up at night with a low lamp and your trusty revolver.
Like the Speckled Band, or something. Oh yeah, that's the one where the snake comes when he whistles- perhaps not the best scientific model then...
But I have heard of others getting results by catching the offender redhanded.

I think I`ll do it by a process of elimination. I have moved the Betta to my empty Quarantine tank and I`ll see if I get anymore butchery.

clown loaches...based on experience...not what i read on the internet. I had guppies..nipped them to death..removed them..now the tank is all back to the peaceful tank it once was..

Wow this is difficult, everones telling me different!!!. Thanks for all your comments though, I do appreciate hearing other peoples experiences with their own fish, I can learn loads from this. I took out the Betta yesterday and no more fin chews up to now so fingers crossed!!!
