I have noticed what looks like white spots on the fins and body of my 2 Uaru chilcids.
They are acting fine , eating like horses  general seem ok.

Non of the other tank mates show any sign's of having spots etc and all seem fine.

Could it be whitespot ? some kind of parasite perhap's ?

Water Stats :

PH : 7.6

Ammonia : 0 ppm

Nitrite : 0 ppm

Nitrate : 40 ppm

Sorry for the quality of the pic's ,taken on my phone

Whitespot looks like the fish has been sprinkled in salt.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing, increase breathing.

They dont look like they have been sprinkled in salt ,and i havent noticed any behaviour out of the ordinary nor any other symptons pointed out in your link.

The only tank mates in the tank i have noticed flicking against the gravel is my cory cat's , though this happens rarely and have also read they do do this.

It just seem's strange how these spots have appeared with in the last 2 days

Dosn't look like whitespot to me as the marks look fluffy is this correct.
Best to clean the glass before taking pics as some marks on the glass can look like on the fish.

The spot's dont look fluffy , looking at the pictures does show the glass as having marks on it , though the 2 fish in question do have spots on them with out a question.

What med's would you recommend ? (for prevention and for a cure if it is whitespot) , i currently have a bottle of King British Methylene Blue and Bacteria Control , would they work ?

On the 2nd pic going up towards the head I can see quite a big white patch is that on the glass or the fish.

Sorry not having ago but I wish members would clean the glass before taking a pic as it makes it hard, as the marks on the glass look like there on the fish.

If the spots are not like grains of salt it not whitepot.
If left untreated the spots can join up to form a patch.

I will keep a close eye on them , and report back if i have any further problem's.

Thanks for the help Wilder , much appreciated :good:

If you clean the glass and takes some more pics it might be easier.
Only ever had whitespot once in my tanks, the fish looked like they had been sprinkled in salt.

I have cleaned the front of the tank and taken another picture (the marks that can be seen in the photo are at the back of the tank) . hopefully it may show more :)
