Last saturday I added 3 Zebra loaches to my tank. Later that evening I noticed one of them 'flashing' very occassionally on the gravel, but hoped it was nothing as there were no other visible symptoms.
Then on Wednesday morning before work I noticed a couple of little white spots on the fins of my 2 blue rams. By the time I got home there were more spots & the rams looked & seemed stressed. There were not & have not been any other visible symptoms displayed by any of the rest of my stock.
I immediately did a 40% water change & thorough clean & gravel vac & then raised the temperature to 30oc. Once the water had heated I treated with Interpet Treatment 6 Anti White Spot Plus & ran an airstone constantly.
Since then the Rams have responded well, are looking better & the the spots seem like they are getting fewer by the hour. The loaches have stopped 'flashing' & there are still no symptoms with any of the other fish.
Today I did a 25-30% water change & gravel vac & now I'm wondering whats the best course of action.
Should use the treatment again, just to be on the safe side, or could this do more harm than good?
Any & all comments & advice very much appreciated.
