Whitespot?

Whitespot looks like they have been sprinkled in salt.

Took a look at the pics the last pic of the group of neons is it the pic do they look like they have a gold dusting on there blue.

So then just one spot is not early stages of whitespot then?

Or is it something different?

Yes the spot did look like white spot, does it look like a grain of salt.

The last picture is kind of blurry but the other three look like whitespot to me. I would start treatment, with this parasite it's best not to let it get a head start. Even if it is not really whitespot, most medications are effective against a range of parasites/diseases.

I would not wait until they are totally covered in spots, at this point you'll definitely know what it is but it may too late to save them.

Yeah, very small, smooth spot,

I'll get some anti-whitespot tomorrow, does this affect the ammonia levels in my tank, i've heard it can raise them to very high levels.

Interpet one dosn't alter water stats to much, nor the waterlife one's.

You could start gradually raising temp now to 30.

Also increase aeration with the high temp now and you need too with a med in as it going to decrease 02 in the water.
Also don't forget to remove black carbon if you have it in the filter.
Good luck.

I have a CO2 kit running for my plants, should i turn that off?

Also how do I increase oxygen levels?

Never used CO2 ask in the tropical chit chat section, you increase 02 with an airstone and pump.

Finally, none of my fish have any white spots, so i'm hoping it's gone from the water, and with the loss of only one neon tetra i'm assuming the ich is completly gone, yey!

Good, still keep a close eye for the next couple of days.
