White Worms On Fish

I tried sending some pics yesterday but it kept saying file too large and husband says no software for shrinking.I understand about treating for secondary infection. I didnt realise the wormer would treat for both. Thats good to know - thanks

wormers arrived today - very good value for money you get loads. Ive treated the tank so now Ill cross my fingers and wait

Does it say when you have to retreat as some fluke are egg layers and have to treat once a week up to four weeks.

It says "This is designed as a one off treatment but may require a second dose after 7 days in heavy infestations"

I would treat again in 7 days as flukes are hard to get rid of if there infested with them.

Since you added the med have the worms died yet on the fish.

I can see the one on the side of my ram plain as day now. Shes swimming about happily in the tank - before she was hiding so thats good news. Its still on but I dont know if its dead cos its hooked on. I can see both ends sticking out and the middle of it is hooked under a scale ( if that makes sense). I only added the wormer this afternoon so Ill keep checking

Ok give it another day the worms should be dying soon.
Good luck.

Oh no my ram died and apistogramma has got them now. My angels and panchax have got inflammed vents. Ive had a look at some pics and they look like the larvae stage of nematode worms. The wormer Ive got contains flubendazole. Shall I repeat dose again or switch to something like metronidasole. Ive done two treatments.

Yes retreat.
You can get internal flukes as well as external flukes.
Red worms prutruding from the anus is camallanous worms, there red when they have been feeding on the host blood.
