So I've been posting around in another area that I had Ich and I thought / think I do. I've been treating it like Ich and it is improving, but tonite after two big water changes and a very thorough cleaning of the filter and everything (the proper way), I saw what looked like a little white worm free floating. It was tiny in diameter, maybe 1mm or less, and length maybe 1cm. It didn't look like your typical particle as it was kind of writhing in the current. My wife thought I was insane, however we just spotted what looked like another. The fat Danios consumed both of them.

Tank is 3 months established, inhabitants in sig, one live plant that has been there before even the fish. What little critters would be floating around in there?

EDIT - the only thing it resembles in the hitchhikers thread would be the miscellaneous wormy thing :)

Harmless sounding, I had some at 3 months as well and they became food for the fish and scared my wife from ever wanting to touch the tank.

I've had them before (they disappeared on their own). They are harmless. Unless you see them coming out of the fish I wouldn't worry. But sometimes a free-floating one will happen to bump into a fish and start crawling on it, but they won't do anything other than crawl or float around.
