White Thing On Female Platys Anal Fin

does this mean she is about to give birth? my platy is really pregnant and about two weeks overdue and now she has a white lit thing near her anal fin.

White things on fish aren't generally a good sign. Is it small like a grain of salt? That is likely to be ich if it does look like that. Can you get us a picture?

it looks like when a female betta is ready to release eggs.thats the best i can describe it, its liie a little white dot near her anal fin and it appeared today. im pretty sure its not ich.

It's her birth canal. I've never paid attention to the birth canal, but it probably dilates like human females.

yeah i looked up some info on it and it sounds like she is almost ready to give birth. thanks for helping me figure this out
