White Stuff

Hey everyone, um having a problem, on my air pump there is a white looking something(thinknig algae) but i have never heard of a white algae. It is also on my oldest plastic plant. a description would be liek it looks like a dropped flour in my tank, as it is spreading to other palnts and even gravel. An one know what htis could be or having similar problems? Thanks

How often do you maintain your tank, sounds like fungus i would take the plants out and clean them in a mild bleach solution but rinse them very well, a gravel vac and clean if off the filter.

did i say filter, oh i meant air pump, the tank is well maintained as it is my only tank and i spend alot of time "trying" to fix it up.im going to see if i can jsut wipe it off. its also on the glass. anyone else no what it could be?

How long has the tank been set up, can you post water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.

um the tnak has been up for a month mabye, the ammoina is zero nitrates are 40, nirtrites are zero, ph 6.8

That's ok then, i wouldn't worry to much just clean the white stuff off things, and see how it goes.
