It is growing on the suction cups and rubber end on the heater in the sick tank. That is the only place it grows. It kind of looks like lots and lots of spiderwebs. I take it out and clean it, and the next day it is starting all over again.
What could it be, and how do I get rid of it?

Does algae come in a form that is white and looks like thick spider webs?

What should I do to stop it? That can't be good for the fish. It only grows on the rubber on the heater.

:-( Someone please give some where to start checking or trying... even if it is just a guess. It is quite persistent. I cleaned it yesterday, and I am already starting to see it again.
It is still only on the rubber parts. I don't understand this stuff.
:S

It won't come off with vac. I have to unplug, wait for it to cool, take it out and actually scrub to get it off. It is slimey and is hard to get it all.
I hope it does stop soon. :X
I am treating for fungus in that tank now... could it be coming from what the fish have, or could that be why it is taking so long to get the fish better? -_-

I have the same in my little tank. I noticed it on the suction cups on my heater and scrubbed it off.
