hey guys,
i know this is in the wrong section but i tried posting it in the emergencies area but i kept getting an error, so i apologize ahead of time.
anyway, my 6-7 month old silver zebra angel fish has these white spots on his tail. They dont look like ich, they are a little bit bigger than an ich spot and look a bit fuzzy. I actually have treated the tank for ich before when first noticed the spots and they pretty much stayed the same. Over the course of about 4 months the amount of spots increased from 2 to about 7. No other fish shows any sign of this at all, i would think that if it was ich or a fungus that it would have spread within those 4 months. Im asking you guys because the LFS people in my area are ignorant ( the guy that helped me didnt even know what ich was). The fish is still as active as ever and has the healthiest appetite in the tank. Ive looked all over and asked quite a bit of people and have heard that it could be ich, fungus, a parasite or even a few bruises on the fin. Im asking you guys cause i dont know what else to do. And i wanna make sure that im treating the right thing.
I have a 55 gallon rated filter emperor , and a 55 gallon rated fluval on this 30 gallon tank. so i know my tank is pretty clean, i do water changes every 2 weeks and my water conditions are perfect.
and the spots are near the base of the tail fin if that is significant in any way.
thanks so much guys for any advice
