I found lots of white spots on my oscars head and a few of my platys, I read somewhere to turn the tempreture up to 82-84F so the parasite speeds up then add medication, which ill go get tmorrow after school, have I done the right thing?

Best not to turn temp up till you have added the med.
Increase aeration as the high temp and med reduce 02 in the water.
Remove black carbon if you use it.
Read instructions carefully if you have scaless fish as sometimes you have to half dose.

Long story, and they aint in the same tank, it just spread to both tanks...

Nnonononon , Im new but im not a idiot hehe, he aint my oscar just keeping him till a friends tank is set up, its only the oscar that has the White Spots on it as far as I can tell, so I think it may be a disease from LFS
