Hi,
I'm having a white spot problem. Here are my parameters.
Tank size: 60cm X 35 cm X 45cm
pH: 8.0
ammonia: 0.0
nitrite: 0.0
nitrate: 20
kH: 12
gH: 15
tank temp: 25
Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior):
White spots
Volume and Frequency of water changes:
20 to 30 % every week
Chemical Additives or Media in your tank:
Nutrafin Plant Gro and water conditioner
Tank inhabitants:
2 X Honey Gouramis
4 X Cherry Barbs
3 X Botia Sidthmunki
4 X Cherry shrimps
Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):
1 X Cherry Barbs
3 X Botia Sidthmunki
I noticed white spots on a cherry barb 3 weeks ago and bought eSHa Exit. It cleared the spots after 3 days.
Just over a week ago I added four more fish. After 3 days I noticed that the new barb had white spots so I did the treatment again. As he still had spots on the fourth day I carried on for two more days.
Now the four barbs have white spots. The botias and gouramis don't seem to be affected. Should I carry on the treatment and for how long?
Thanks.
