this white spot is dong my head in.firstly i did a about a 40%water change then a 30% i think then a 20% all 4 days apart and each time adding less white spot cure after the water change.it seemed ok for about 4 days but ive noticed my shark flicking against the bog wood.my platies had it the worst but they now seem ok and are not flicking.so what ive done is a 30%water change about half an hour ago and upped my temp from 78f to 81f but should i put more med in or see how it goes for a couple a days?o and by the way i dont know what my water stats are but i will on sunday. :( :D

One last treatment to be sure it's gone may be the best bet. You should go ahead and do it,if you haven't already. I hope that clears it up once and for all for you

Good luck, hope they get well soon.

i do as well. its rearly anoying when u think its gone then the fish that didnt have it the last time have it worse the second time.hopefully this is the last time i will have to treat. :)

I've been lucky only had in once thank goodness.

Which whitespot med are you using?

Here is a copy of a reply I just made to someone else about how I treated for whitespot

I used Interpet no. 6 on whitespot in my tanks recently. I had to repeat the course of the meds for 4 weeks before it went! You should keep re-dosing as per instructions on the bottle till no signs of spots are seen and then do at least one more dose for good measure.

No. 6 needs to be added every 3 days (or on day no. 4 as they put it), don't leave a gap, just keep adding it every 3 days but do a 25% water change before you add the dose each time. I know they only give instructions for 2 doses in there but you can just keep repeating the dose. Hang in there, you will beat it eventually

Hope this helps you :)

im using something called anti white spot plus i dont know if its any good and it was £3.99. :D

Sounds like interpet i have that med and it worked on mine.

yes thats the one its got a pic of a clown loach on the front and says interpet at the bottem. :D

Don't usually rate interpet much but the whitespot treatment worked on my fish, good luck.
