HIya
Just need some advice. I've noticed lots of white spots on my clown loach 9 days ago, the day after I started using WS3 (smaller dose, removed carbon filter, have continued with the treatment every 24hrs, changed water every 2 days before the treatments) 8 days on - no change, one loach is covered in spots - they are everywhere and the fish is really suffering |(I think it might die) the bigger loach is not as bad, still covered with spots but swimming, also affected widow tetras, neon tetras (have noticed their fins have been nipped or something)- black mollies and 3 babies are fine. No idea what else can I do - water increased to 30 degrees, took water to be checked in the aquarium shop - water perfect! So what can be wrong? How come the medicine is not working?? Any ideas??

the dose rate is possibly too low, or the whitespot parasite is immune to the medication, or the medication has expired and the ingrediants are no longer active.

To work out the volume of water in the tank
measure Length x Width x Height in cm
divide by 1000
equals volume in litres.

when measuring the height of the tank, measure from the top of the gravel to the top of the water level. If you have large rocks or driftwood in the tank remove them before measuring the height.

When yo noticed the white spot, did you actually turn the heater up 2 -3 degrees, then wait 24-48 hours until the spots fall off, then you treat.. (the higher temperature causes the spots to falls off).
