first off, you need to get yourself a hospital tank. with the corals and inverts you have you can not add a copper based medication to the tank.

once a hospital tank is set up, medicate them. another way that helps things is changing the salinty of the water (not sure if its up or down)

also it seems that your white spot out break is probably due to stress of your fish in your tank. the tang, as well as 2 pairs of clowns. alot of stress lowers the immune system and white spot and other problems will occur.

Hi Ya Scott

How's u

Although what newbie15 says it the best way to go about things it aint always practical,.

Tangs get white spot if you look at them the wrong way, I would start adding Kents Garlic Extreme (or a like Product) to the fish's food,
Drop the amount you fed them in one go, but increase the frequency of feeds, I would do this even if you aint addin the garlic.

This will help get rid of the WS, but it will return so it is a good idea to have Garlic Extreme onhand.

You could also get yourself a UV and run it as & when.

Changing the Salinity of your Tank - Drop your SG to about 1.020 will help get rid as well but you would have to make this drop over about 1 week, most LFS run there tanks at this levels to ward off parasites/disease's like these.

hi im new here but for what its worth

drop your salinity quite slowly over a week or so, the garlic idea is a v v good one, i've seen some very good results, a uv will work but bear in mind it will only kill the white spots which pass thru (i.e in the water column) and which are free swiming.

also never give up hope i've had some cases which clear up on their own, the key is EXCELLENT water well fed and stress free, and any fish which recovers from white spot naturally builds up a certain level of resistance to future outbreaks.

Olso consider a cleaner wrasse, i know there is some question of the long tern survivability in captivity but mabey if its a case of the needs of the many....

hope this helps

thanks for the reply! i am going out today to buy some og the garlic if i can find it! I am also considering the cleaner wrasse but i need to try and find one that will eat normal food so that it does not starve!
thanks

i do not think i would add another fish. I believe that maybe due to the tank size and amount of fish, this could of been the main reason for stress in the first place, thus leading to the outbreak.

also to lower your salt level over a period of time just add r/o water slowly over the week. this should help
