Hi
I have an outbreak of whitespot in my tank :-( so popped along to the lfs and they sold me a bottle of british king sw3, i mentioned that i had plants but they said it would be fine. I went home and looked up the active ingredients chiefly malachite green which sounds like pretty nasty stuff and i'm relucatnt to start dosing my tank with it!! I noticed that they had some interpet white spot number 6 on the shelf but i accepted what they gave me.
Also tried looking up some stuff on the interpet on the internet but i can't find anything on the active ingredients (do they make the information inaccessible on purpose?). Anyway, whats in the interpet treatment, and would it be more benign to my plants etc than the king british, what do people on here recommend.
Many thanks, Derek.

PS i haven't got a quarantine tank so i'm planning to treat the whole tank.

I'm probably wrong on this, but you might want to not wait around trying to decide what treatment to use on the whitespot. I brought home some penguin tetras the other night, they got whitespot overnight and were all dead in three days. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the tank water etc. Just the whitespot. (and I was treating it from day one)

As above, I personally use Protozin, It's a combined treatment for whitespot & Fungus

If you can get Interpets Whitespot plus....Ive always had no problems with it.....it even saved my clownloach ages ago which I thought were going to die for sure....they are still here!
