'White Spot' treatment

Hi all,

I've just bought Protozin to treat my 3 Cherry Barbs for 'White Spot' and started the first days treatment. The instructions say to remove any charcoal before use, would this also apply to activated carbon and should I replace it after the treatment has finished?

Yes, Remove it during treatment and replace after to help clean up after the medication. HTH

Would you also suggest that I delay any water replacement until the treatment is finished?

I'm not sure but it'd seem to make sense not t do any water changes until after the treatment as surely you'd only be removing the medication??

great advice, sunflower. rarely is it necessary to do waater changes while meds are in the tank. But if yoou need to then make sure you add the appropriate amount of meds to the new water before adding to the tank.
