Basicly we have had an esablished rena 340l tank running with a fluvl 404 which has been going well for 3 years, qwith hardly any fish deaths however last week we had an outbreak of white spot which affected our 4 clown loach badly!
We went to our local aquatic center in Worthing and bought what we thought was a safe for all interpet whitespot treament6 it did say that shouldnt be used on Elephant nosed fish! a week later our lovely 3 year old BGKF is dead!! he's colour went and had grey patches all down his body, eh couldnt keep bouancy and was all over the place! which had me close to tears!!
Do all white spot treatments kill these fish? surley there should be some warnings put on packaging? have emailed them and suprise suprise they are shouldering blame and insist on me supplying a water sample but as I explained to them we've done a big water change to try and save him and added the carbon media to try and get rid of the dose of treatment, so a sample would be pointless!
