I bought 3 new black guppies today. All seem fine but one has a couple of white spots on his tail. One spot is completely transparent like a hole that is healing. The other one is more elongated under a microscope. I think he just got nipped as they all have some evidence of tail nipping. Can anybody else give me an opinion? I hate to treat for ich if not necessary. It just doesn’t really look like it.

doesn't look like whitespot.

I do have concerns about the white mouth on one of them and also the flared gills. The white lip could be Columnaris. The flared gills are probably gill flukes.

Load the tank up with salt and monitor them closely for the next 2 weeks.

I agree with Collin.load the tank with salt and wait a few weeks

Thanks everybody. I already have salt in the QT tank. I’ll keep an eye on them.
