:/ Hi All
We have just had a white spot outbreak on my clown loaches,We noticed it quickly and as of this morning have noticed no more spot.Phew!I medicated yesterday(this would be the 4th dose over 12 days) and did a water change the day before that.My question is are we now in the clear.Should i put no more medication in and turn down the temp again or should we still keep the temp hi and the dose up on medication again.
We have tropicals and the medication we are using is Aqua Master White spot remidy (Malachite Green).
Cheers for any assistance.

How many days ago was it that you last saw any spots? If you have been clear for 3 or more days then I would say you have got rid of it.

As of this morning (Mon) it will be 2 days with no spot at all.I medicated on sat and did a water change on fri.I have read on this site to medicate after you see the last spot fall of.So should i medicate again tommorow or leave well enough alone and if still in the clear tommorow morn(3rd day) turn temp down and celibrate the victory.
Cheers

How high is the temp? You should continue medicating your fish for at least a week or 2 after the white spots have disapeared as it will not be totally gone when they do and you will risk the chance of a second outbreak otherwise.

The temp is at 28 deg C.
I have a big pleco and a Black Knife Ghost fish also in the tank and have medicated at half strength. Thanks for that info i will keep medicating for a while yet then.
I am think the cause of my problem was i saw 2 awesome Gold Gauramis and 2 buetifully coloured pearl Geramis that i could not resist and put them straight in my tank maybe that caused a little 2 much stress.Either way i have got a little more professional now and bought a quarinteen tank for any new arrivals.
Cheers
