This morning when i turned on my tank light, there are tiny, white, curly...somethings.. on the glass that weren't there yesterday. I have 4 yellow tail damsels, a tomato clown and a juvenile atlantic blue tang. The tang has been a bit freaked out of late and i think i see a spot of ich forming on his tail fin. I don't think i can move him to a QT because catching him would most likely kill him. I think i will treat the whole tank (29gal).

tank readings are : Nitrates 20ppm Nitrites 0 KH300 PH8.4 Amonia 0
water temp is a constant 79 F.

I have tried to find something that looks like what is on the glass.. but I can't identify it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks..

They kinda sound like Spirorbids, which are harmless worms.

Do they look like either of these?
Spirorbid Number 1
Spirorbid Number 2

I have tons of these myself, and just scrape them off the glass weekly.

Sort of... just the first outer curl... nothing as complete. Where do these things come from? I do not have live rock yet as I just moved to an actinic T5 lighting system, and nothing new has been introduced....

Subsequently... I noticed on my Atlantic blue he has a small ulcer on his side that I thought was a scrape from one of his 'freak outs' (he damaged his dorsal fin the other night too) And i wonder if maybe he had (has) anchor worm...

Thanks for your reply... since i have so few fish, and its time for the partial water change, I think i will treat the whole tank.
