i just noticed yesturday that my water has a white haziness to it. I'm currently cycling so i guess it could be something to do with that. any ideas what it is?

yup its a bacterial bloom. It should clear within 2 or 3 days.
Nothing to worry about

so does that mean that my beneficial bacteria is growing?

I had that while cycling after about 2-3 days

Ammonia went down to zer0 about 15 days later.

I am currently for nitrite to go down

Bacteria bloom is NOT the beneficial bacteria but other micro-organsms that thrive in your tank and cause no harm to fish. Don't worry about it, it'll clear soon enough. The beneficial bacteria grow and multiply much too slowly (unfortunately) to cause a 'bloom' they also don't live in the water but in the substrate and filter media (which is why water changes actualy do NOT effect cycling provided the water is de-chlorinated; whilst gravel vacuuming and changing filter media can and does effect your beneficial bacteria).
