White fuzzy cobweb stuff

Part of the driftwood in my 40g tall has some white/transparent fuzzy stuff on it. Looks like thick cobwebs almost. It this fungus or something??

yeah its fungus!driftwood/bogroot often gets it.You can take it out and scrub it off.

And don't worry, it's harmless and will stop growing on its own over time.

Ok then I'll just leave it for a more natural look.
