White Fungus

my tank is a week in to its cycle but today i noticed a white cotton like fungus on the gravel there are no fish in the tank anyone have any clues as to what this could be?

Dont worry about it for now, it wont do any harm, its quite common in cycling tanks, clean it out once the filter is cycled

it a wavy stuff that coats everything and is sort of translucent?

of not it could be slime mould... but i have no idea why it would be as in a cycling tank there is no food for it...

It might not be fungus, but if it is I had the same thing when my tank was cycling. It was right after the bacterial bloom. However, it was mostly on the glass and some on the gravel. At the time I thought it might might actually be some of the bacterial bloom. I never touched it and it went away on its own. But I did do a lot of w/c's while I was cycling.
