i have noticed this morning a white growth has apeared on my female molly's head just above the gill

she is silver in colour and its not very easy to make the "growth" out unless you catch her head on! and can see what looks like a smal piece of loose skin sticking up

my question is this!

can i leave her in the tank (90liters and well established) and treat her in there with the other fish as i have no spare tank or anything else to put her in :(

help please

thankyou everyone for reading

i have bought some INTERPET AQUARIUM TREATMENT NO 8-ANTI FUNGUS AND FINROT

have treated the whole tank as instructed guess i'll just have to wait and see now if it clears up

Ok, does the growth look fluffy if so it columnaris, good luck with the med but sometimes you have to use another one with it if its a bad strain.

tbh its looking alot better already ,it was puffy like cotton wool buy now its level with the rest of the fishes body and looking more normal colour! the fish is silver/white so hard to see anyway but deffo not sticking out like it was on sat

Just carry on with the med a few more days then to make sure it has gone completely, good luck.

cant see anywhere on the med instructions to say it anything other than a "one off" treatement!! i only put it in on sat and theres nothing in the instructions about "daily" treatement!!!

anyone else familiar with this treatement??? (INTERPET AQUARIUM TREATMENT NO 8-ANTI FUNGUS AND FINROT)

thankyou

Yes its a seven day treatment, you only do one dose as it last for seven days, good luck.
