Someone recommended these or H. Bentosi to me when I was looking for another addition to my tank. I got the white-finned rosy tetras and am loving them! They are beautiful, active, a nice visual addition with their body shapes and color, and are fun to watch as they display to each other. They're peaceful, but little pigs - voracious eaters. At feeding time we call them our little piranhas. :) They're not bullies, though, just into eating. After they eat in the mid-water column, they'll go down to the floor to nibble off of the wafers for the bottom feeders.

Highly recommended community fish!

Here are a couple of photos, but I need to try and get better ones of them displaying to each other. You can also see them in my full-tank signature photo - how they kind of stand out with their shapes and pinks and reds.

I believe (correct me if wrong) that this is a female. If you look at the above photo, the fish that's furthest right and the focus/clearest fish has a longer dorsal fin and more diffuse black spot.

Many of the tetras I find a bit boring but these guys are pretty awesome.

Bit of a bump but I have to add my agreemwnt with this thread. The addition of 6 Rosy Tetras to my community tank was a great decision.

Very active and pretty. Always raising their dorsal fins and showing off. Lovely characters and will eat out of my hand :)

Now if only they ate algae and helped with water changes... Then they'd be wonder fish! ;)
