White Film On Glass

Recently i noticed my tank was looking a bit murky so did a water change but it looked the same. It was only when I scraped a bit of algae of the glass that I noticed I was scraping of a thin white film aswell. The whole tank is covered in it. Anybody any ideas? Water chemistry is spot on.

Just one of those things I think. I get it sometimes too. I can honestly say I don't know what it is, but I think it's just either an algae-type growth, or from food in the water. Just wipe it off along with the algea. Your tank should be fine.

I noticed the same thing on my heater. Just scrape it off and let the filter suck it up, or siphon it if it hits the gravel.

Might be mineral deposits. My water is hard, so when it evaporates theres a white film left on the glass that was once covered in water.

i get it too but my water isnt hard. maybe just poo slime?
