Hi all, been a while since i posted but i'm baffled:S

i've been keeping a green spotted puffer for a year or so now and I came into my room today to see that one of his eyes is all white as if there is a film over it or something, it looks like his eye is still there under the film but you can't see it well.
Also he's kinda zoning out and not being as alert as he normally is, any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Hey :)

Have you taken any water readings? I hear that a fishes eyes can go white if there's a nitrite spike (or it might be ammonia, sorry I can't remember which). This can happen in a rapid PH swing or change in water parameters.

I'm sure other people will know more about what they're talking about than I do, but I think some water readings could definately help find the problem.

Need more info.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Cloudy eye is a systom of a desease not a desease in its own right.
Causes.
bad water quaity.
Stress.
Old age.
Irratation.
Poor diet.
Parasites.
Bacterial.

Hi again.

All the water conditions are fine, It appears that one of his tank mates got too big for his boots and attacked him.
Either way he's dead now so it's a bt of a moot point. Have checked everything over to make sure that it doesn't happen to his friends.
Cheers
