White Cloudy Water

Hi guys I set up my new tank 7 days ago I washed through my sand. As I filled the tank up the water remained White and milky straight away over the days it has cleated a bit. I think it is from maybe I did not wash through my sand enough and was wondering have I got to empty the tank right out to clear this or can I do something else to clear it ,oh I used some stuff to try and clear the water with no joy. It's a jewel rio 240 and I'm only using the jewel filter. Any help would really be appreciated cheers

Could be bacterial bloom, or you just didnt wash the sand enough, just do a massive water change, should get rid of most of it.

I find my catfish pellets i feed my plec and Raphaels makes my water cloudy as hell, but you have nothing in there so can't be that
