White Cloud Minnows

Hi i just bought 3 white cloud minnow. 2 are female and 1 is male. They bred and laid an egg on a plant. I searched the web and found out that eggs hatch about after 2 days and it hasn't hatched yet and todays the 3rd day!

hi & welcome to the forums are you sure its an egg the reason i ask is they normaly lay more than one egg but if it is an egg then it might not have been fertalised what colour is it?

What do the eggs look like and what types of fish do you have in your tank?

They might have eaten the others; that's what my corys do. I often find an isolated egg on the tank wall after spawning; the one they missed when keeping their strength up after the party....

But it may well be unfertilised- keep an eye on it over the next day or so; if it is not fertilised it will develop fungus and should be removed.
