White Blister On Angel

Hey guys I need your help bought a couple of new fish couple of fish on thursday. Both angels from the same tank, one of them however has two White blisters on either side of it's body. You can see it on the pic above just in from the left of his tail in the dark area, the one on the other side of his body is very similar.

I've seen White spot a year a so ago, but doesn't look the same, he has no small spots just two big blister type ones. Should i stick a does of salt into their? I have White spot and fin rot medicine if it's needed....

He is also spending all of his time at the top. But feeding fine, not been bullied by any other fish.

Test water readings on friday where

Ammonia - 0 to 0.25
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 40ppm

Done a 25% water change as i wasn't 100% on reading of ammonia. And nitrate was a little higher than I would like.

need some help here guys! any idea what this might be.... really need to buy treatment tonight on way home from work, as its been at lease 48 hours now without treatment.

Not sure what to suggest really...is the spot fluffy at all?

Here's what I'd do; if it looks fluffy, treat with something for fungus.

If the spot is smooth, like a pimple, treat with an anti-bacterial.

looked smooth. Would melafix be fine? and can i treat with clown loaches in tank?

Right; if it looks smooth, I'd take a bet on it being bacterial in origin. Melafix is ok for treating small wounds and burns and things like that, but it's not that great as a med in all honesty. Get a proper anti-bacterial. You'll have to read the bottle as to whether it's safe for clown loach; some are, some aren't.

would you recommend a medicine? possibly something i could pick up at pets at home as its only late opening where i live till the weekend....

I use Myxazin for any kind of spot/pimple thing.
