Which of these two stockings would be best? I have a 64L Tank with smooth gravel substrate. It has many plants, some rocks, slate, and I'll be moving bits around and putting in a piece of bogwood soon! :D
I was wondering which stocking you think would be best?

Stocking 1:
1 male betta
4 platies
6 endlers
6 pygmy corydoras

Stocking 2:
1 male betta
4 platies
6 endlers
6 ember tetras

Not a huge difference but in terms of care, food, etc. they are very different fish (corydoras and ember tetras, that is!).
If you think that some fish could be added to either stocking, please don't hesitate to say!
Thank you! :)

Stocking 3 gets my vote ;):
1 male betta
6 male endlers
6 ember tetras
6 dwarf Corys

If only!
I've already got the platies in there. They were the hardiest on my list so they seemed the best way to go. Besides, they're so lovely! They've got really lovely personalities now

Shame  you could always get what you find, then add more too them, i started with 8 and added 6 when i moved them to the 15Gal

That's what I was thinking. What would be the least amount of cories I could have until I could find more? 2?
This is my substrate. It's smooth smaller pebbles on top with bigger and very very slightly rougher pebbles underneath..and some cheeky endlers.

Sorry for the bad quality!
Would that substrate be okay for pygmies?
Also, here's a full tank shot..

E- I forgot to ask!
Can I put some cherry shrimp in there too, or not? Would the betta eat them?

If there was enough hiding places (plants and moss) for the shrimp then they would survive. You may lose a few and they wont breed as much, but I love them because they eat all the algae/excess food in my tank.
I sell Cherry shrimp btw :hey:

Above is my full tank shot, but it won't stay like that. I'm hoping this weekend that all the tannins will have gone from my bog wood and that I can put it in! I would personally love some moss balls but after my first redesign of my tank, I didn't use all the plants, and my mum went spare and told me that she isn't buying me any more. That said, I could move some to my biorb (plants in there constantly need replacing, so they're due a change anyway) to make room for some moss balls.
What do the shrimp feed on? And where abouts are you?
