The koralia is widely reccomended and Drs. Foster & Smith have the nano for sale for $35, so yes it seems like you've found a good price. Personally, i went with the Marineland maxijet 900's because of the marineland name but have yet to use them. But if you found the koralias for $18 i'd get them.

ok thanks for that.

would the korlia nano plus the 2 circulation pumps provide enough flow in the tank ?

well that depends on how big your tank is and its dimensions and what you plan on doing with it

my tank is the Red Sea Max 130 litre(34 gal). dimensions are 24` in length,19.7` in width and length.

my plan is to add a CUC and a pair of clowns, then leave the tank to mature before starting with corals. i think this will give me time to get use to keeping my water stats at a good conditon. the corals i like the look of are mushrooms, a fiji leather, starburst and a hammer.

many thanks

I've got to hydor 1's (ebay) and my eheim canister filter pumping my 125l - seems to be quite a bit of flow from them :)

I would suggest the nano is a bit small for your tank though.

The Hydor Koralias are great. I would put on two 1's on your system, maybe even a third, depending on how your rock is structured

think I tend to agree, maybe even a K2 and K1 - don't bother with the nano, unless you want it for the back of the lr, then I would go with the nano and a K2

A Tunze 6055 with a single controller
A bit expensive but you can adjust flow patterns and would be great in a RSM.
A korallia nano or 1 wont cut the mustard m8

Thanks for the responses everyone. :good:

I have just brought a Koralia 1 from ebay, which i will use for behind my rock.I will then buy a Koralia 2 for the main, and a nano for mixing my water up.

Also,
I have a Visitherm 100wt heater(from my FW days) and the standard RSM heater.Which should i use in the tank ?

Many thanks.

p.s watch out for my journal which will be coming very soon. :hyper: :good:

I trust Visitherm heaters more than any other brand myself for internal heaters :good: I have no experience with RSM heaters though... Eiher way, in marine (or any other tank for that matter) the best way to guard against a failure is to replace the heater every few years, and avoid cheap s?!# heaters when you do get one :good:

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Will a 100watter be man enough for the 130ltrs of water?

Many thanks :good:
