Which Ones

i'm going to get 3 or 4 plants tom .i am after ones that are hard(strong wont die) and ones that wont take over wot do u think??do i have 2 get plant food???

Get straight vallis.Grow in very low light conditions no ferts needed and even gow in cold water.Java moss is also good(attached to a log/peice of wood).Java fern is quite easy to look after,slow grower though.Hope this helps

what kind of lighting do you have?

Any Anubias, Cryptocorynes and Aponogetons species would do good in a low lite tank. Java Ferns and mosses would also do well.also if you you add ferts or have a nutrients rich substance you could also grow some differnet types of swords (swords will in time out grow most medium sized tanks)
