What new live bearer should i get? Want one that breeds fast, doesn't die easily, no ones that are hard to look after looking for easy -medium looking after -preferablly easy.
My tank is 4 foot long, 30cm wide, 45cm depth. 55 gallon.
Swordtails, guppies, opaline gouramis, common plec, albino plec, 5 zebra danios, 2 albino corys. Neons
Ph- Dark blue lol.

Thanks lucy

I'd go with Platys or Endler's...both, in my experience, are hardier than Mollies or 'Fancy' Guppies. I've had good luck with Swords as well. What do you think of the wild-type Guppies?

No, Mollies aren't bad. I have several (coming out my ears, actually) Mollies right now . Mollies just seem to be slightly less hardy than the others I mentioned. If you like Mollies, than by all means go for it. They are really great little fish with lots of personality.

I have a lot of luck with my Mollies and Swordies. I find both species to be very hardy and good breeders esp the Mollies. You will be spoilt for choice with some brilliant markings now available. Good luck :)

Yeah i used to have mollies and really liked them but then i wasn't very good and they died. My male was soo funny he thought he was the king back then if i buy a new male he won't think that with big old george (opaline gouramia - very big now).

Congrasts nosoup

No, he'll probably still 'think' he is the king...Molly males are just like that. LOL

Yeah then he'll get beaten up lol. Not really george is a big old softie BUT he DOES NOT like any one going near georgina.

Just read a post about which livebearer and it some1 said swords can interbreed with platies? could they do it wid mollies?or would king probably chase them off lo

Platys and Swordtails can interbreed but are a lot more closely related than Mollies and Platys/Swords, so no, they cannot interbreed. However, Mollies and Guppies have been occasionally known to cross (resulting in sterile offspring).

Here is a link to a pic of a Molly x Guppy hybrid:

Kool so its gonna be a sailfin molly boy and girl with swordies and gups

You'll want to make sure that you have at least 2 females per male, preferably more, as the males can really stress the females out pestering them to breed. Randy devils!

Platy fry take longer to mature than endlers etc. Bear that in mind if thats a factor.
