well, I want a planted tank, actually I have already started and want to replace my current lights, i have a 48" Long tank (Rio 240L), and those lights seem to fit across the tank, 4ft. My Budget is £100 max.

First one - never heard of a 28w T5 tube, that would put me off that one for a start. The tubes are also marine tubes, which will promote algae.

Second one - Excellent luminary, if not the best on the market. Tubes are excellent, as you get freshwater tubes with it, which Ive used and are excellent for plant growth. Would also give you 2WPG, so you'd be high light. Seems a reasonable price.

Third one - the luminary is only 80cm I think you tank is 120cm, think you mean this one. Ive got one of these, its good, you'll need to change the tubes though, which reduces the cost effectiveness of these cheaper ones. It'll also give you 2.6WPH which is a lot for a 60G tank.

Ahh, thanks Themuleous, I would have gone for the 80cm one, I wonder if I would have checked it before bidding. I was considering the second and and third but now considering the one you showed me. Slowly but surely I upgrade my tank...
Thanks...
