I have a 37 gallon tank and I want to start planting it. I added a few java ferns and anubias. I want to be able to get more plants so I was thinking of upgrading my light to about 2 or more WPG. I want to get vallis and amazon sword. I was thinking of getting this glass cover and placing the light on top. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod...=1&N=2004&Nty=1
Here are some light fixtures I found that would get me to about 2 WPG. Is there something better you would reccomend that could get me more WPG for under $100, or just something of better quality? As of now I have a 20 watt strip which gives me about .54 WPG

Well #3 you could make a lot cheaper than they are selling it for. That's how i made mine :D , or i would go with #1, but i've always felt compact bulbs are really expensive  .

heres what i do..i use the same type glass top..the same 65watt compact flourescent you want..then i just changed the bulb in the stock light to a life-glo or power-glo i forget which one is 6500k and set both lights right on top..that gives me 85watts in my 29gal which is about 2.9wpg.
