Ok i have been tlaking to gf225 about my tank set up, and he has been really helpful. When we talked about my lights he suggested to not use one of them i had, because of algea growth. This is my light set up:

I have:

2 Corallife Spectramax 40 watt bulbs
1 Corallife Actinin 03 blue 40 watt bulb

the actinin bulb says is REALLY helps plants by bringing out the chloraphyll-a which is the most needed thing in plants. It is VERY high in the blue area of the lighting graph, and i know it may grow algea. So gf225 said i may want to switch it. I have another bulb at my disposal, a Corallife 10k bulb. Which one should i use in my tank set up for my plants to thrive. I am open to all opinions, i am asking this because i just want to have the best lighting :)
also, to control the algea, i have my lights on a timer, they turn on at 8am and turn off at 1 pm, then turn back on at 2 pm and turn off at 6 pm, and back on from 7-11. This is what i read abot how to control algea and make your plants happy :)

The 10000K maybe the safer option to start with - I know in the US the planted guys use them to good effect. You can always change once the system has balanced to see any possibe differences - it would be interesting to see.

I think gf has given you great advice in the other thread...!

i know that is what i was saying when i said gf225 was helping me, and then i said i was looking fo rothers opinions or people who have used either of them.

unfortunately I don't have any experience with those lights, but would agree with gf and personally would choose the 10k over the actinic...
