So I am going to get some LED lighting for my tank, but I have a quick question. I know that the Marineland LED lights are the preferred and most trusted however, I found this brand Beamworks on ebay for 1/4 of the price (i know you get what you pay for sometimes). My question is has anyone used these LED's and should I just get it and see to save some money.

Link for the brand on ebay.

Oh and not live plants, just a FW cichlid set up

Not sure what exactly your aim is in your tank, is it just for the nightime effect? I recently purchased a strip from my local Maidenhead they were about £25 I think. They have an excellent sticky strip on the back which is adhesive to absolutely anything with great strength and are easy to use with a simple on off flick switch like most lights.

they give a great effect to my tank on a night. When I turn on my air pump and put the lights on through the day you can still see the solid blue shine through the two 4ft lights on my tank and give the bubbles from the air pump and great blue look.

Id reccommend them to anyone who is after a great set of lights for a decent price, as I myself went down the route of these cheap strips etc and thought they were rubbish, half the lights went after about 4 weeks usage, whereas these are super!
