Which is cheaper??

Hey ya'll
Just one quick qeustion, is it cheaper to buy a 29 gal tank kit (comes with water filter, hood, food, nets & lights) for around 88$ with tax, or build one and buy/build everything else? What are ya'll suggestions?

Cherry, this would be my suggestion...Ebay... I found this in 15 minutes. A little diligence will find a good deal on something close to you. Or give you a good excuse for a little road trip...

It also depends on what you are wanting to do with the tank. If you are going to keep fake plants then the kit might be the way to go. If you want real plants you would end up (with most of the kits) replacing the lights because most don't have enough light for real plants. Just my $.02.

Thanks, but i was thinking that the lights in the kit would keep the temp down, plus I have a good amount of natural light coming into my room, but I will keep that in mind. thanks,
