I've just set up a 35l tank and wanted the smallest heater possible. I went for the Hydor Theo (50W) which was quite a bit smaller than the Visi Therm.

The Fluval Edge or Marina/elite? 25W heater would be your best bet, these are much smaller and compact compared to your standard heaters and therefore take up less space

Hi Ben, I have the Edge and been up and running for just over a month and i bought the Fluval Edge heater that is specifically designed for the capacity of the edge, it supposedly runs at 4% higher than the room temperature and is non adjustable but as i had mine in a spare room the temperature was sitting approx 72%, think thats too cold for most tropicals. I have just been to my lfs and bought a 25watt fully adjustable heater for £11 and was able to crank the temperature up, I defo wouldnt buy the black plastic one thats designed for the Edge, it would probs be ok in the summer months but no good during this COLD snap in the UK, lol
