I wasn't sure whether to put this in common on rarer, but..

I was wondering if there's a comprehensive list of which livebearers can hybridize with which, so that I know which to avoid putting together.

Well it depends if you want to know about common or rare livebearers.

This is the rare section so I'll stick with them
Basically anything with in the same genus should not go together as a rule

However Poecilia (guppy, endler, molly etc) should not go with Limia's as these do cross

But with over 350 wild livebearers their are far to many to list and then create a list if they will cross.

Yeah, I realize livebearers of the same genus shouldn't be put together, which is why I titled the post "Which Genera Can Hybridize With Which".. though I just realized I use livebearers instead of genera in the actual post.

I already know about Poecilia/Limia, and if I'm not mistaken, Gambusia and Girardinus can cross with them as well?

I guess even if there isn't a comprehensive list, it'd just be nice to know as many possible crosses as I can, so I'll know what to avoid.

Never head of a Gambusia and Girardinus cross. and looking at the gonoporiums their very different, so i would suspect that they cant.

How ever i've never tried

Regarding Poecilias and Limias, I have heard of Mollies and Limias hybridizing but wasn't aware of guppies and Limias unfortunately. I had a male guppy in with my Limia melanogasters for a short time and did notice that the guppy was trying to mate with the female Limias, but I just chalked that up to the tendency of male guppies to try and mate with anything. What are the chances of hybrid offspring?
