Which food is best???

Hi

I have 1 adult female silver molly and 9 fry. And an adult platty
I used to feed them micro pelets and they loved it. When it came to the end I bought a big pot od flakes.
And they dont seem to like it as much...well the adults that is. The little'uns love it.
I have noticed thet the red Platty doesn't really look like he wants to feed and the silver molly, well, she scoops on in and then after a while blows the lot out?
Is this just fussy fish or is there something wrong with the food?

Fish often seem to eat food and split it out, they are usually still eating it but can't get it all down at once. A variety of food is the best way to go, don't give them the same thing all the time as this will get boring for them. Perhaps get what you know they like and feed them both and wean them onto flakes. Frozen live food is also a good option as well as veggies like peas, cucumber, lettuce and melon.
