I was wondering if people could point me in the right direction for what fish will go well in my tank, its a 75L Aqua One square tank,
I currently have:
1 Betta
2 Pakistani loaches (very young only 2cm or so) 1 more to come.

Soft silica substrate, bog wood and plants

I know the betta plays a large desion as to what can be added?
Thanks a plenty
Adam

I also have a betta in my community tank. He's in with a couple of platies, some zebra danios, and a small spotted cory catfish - the only fish the betta chases are the platies, but as soon as they move, he leaves them alone.

Even when the betta is interested in the algae wafer on the floor I feed the cory cat, he leaves the cory alone when the cory is eating from it - whereas, if the platies came near the wafer he blows up his face and chases them away.

There were two cherry barbs, and he left them alone too.

Of course, I don't have any loaches, so I don't know what would go well with them, but now you know a few that go with a betta.

Don't forget that your betta's personality will play a role - if he's majorly aggressive, don't get platies. If he's mellow, you may even be able to get away with guppies, like someone else I know.

yup it depends completely on your betta if he will accept tankmates, if your not sure i'd speak to your lfs and try and get them to agree to sell you some fish but that they would accept them back a few days later if the betta went crazy at them. just get something hardy and peaceful like a platy and try it. from that you can guage what would be best.

IMO i'd try and stick to bottom dwellers who would be out of the way of the betta
