Mine actually is an invertebrate - my apple snail. :p They're so cute to watch! And the way they move is interesting.

What is your favourite fish (or other inhabitant) to watch?

I have jelly bean parrots which are very active and inqusitive. I also have two pairs forming and competing for a space in my rockery so they do a little dance against each other every so often!!

Great fun to watch them!!

I'm going to get some snails i think!! PM me if you have a suggestion on which are easiest to look after and best for clean up duty in my tank, thank you

Craig :good:

A few of my fish have interesting habits:

McCulloch Rainbows: Will often display to each other, then will swim in tigh circles around each other with all fins erect.

Harlequin Rasboras: Swim backwards sometimes - a few of them will get together and will repeatedly swim backwards slowly for a bit, then dart forward very fast. Watched them do this for 30 minutes one night.

Siamese Algae Eaters: Often swim around together in parallel, and then will sart feeding on algae in parallele too. Cool to watch.

I PM'd you freerunner. :)

I have always liked harlequins too moeldner... they school really nicely.

My ADF in the betta tank is always amusing, and in the 29g the kuhli loaches (when they are out) are great- so spastic! or if they are not out then the peppered corys are really neat. They have such personality!

My favorite is probably our Peppered Cories, they're alway up to something. Like today they decided to shoot straight up to the bottom of our fry net and spin in circles, it was pretty funny.

the porthole livebearers are beautiful swimmers, slim and graceful and very fast- great fun to watch

other than that- the baby bristlenoses; they are SO cute; 6 babies on a slice of courgette- I can watch that for ages

wish I could say the same of the ticos, but a passing shadow at the back of the tank seems to be the best I can get at the moment

I like to watch my Cories sniffing about and doing crazy swimming games.

I also like my rtbs - he's funny when he's going aroung trying to scrape algae off stuff.

The Blue Rams are good for interactive-ness - they always come up to the glass when I'm looking in the tank and follow me round.

I find the neons are pretty (for colour) but pretty boring otherwise - they all look a bit thick!

Oscar - they just have great personalities, cool fish!

or binky the betta, funny as hell when they're flaring, i normally cheer him on 'go on binky, who's that in your tank, kill him kill him' :hey:

or in the marine tank the feather duster we discovered the other day, keeps popping out.

My Harlequin Rasboras are great to watch , they never stop , when I'm adding water to the tank they come right up to where the waters flowing in and jump out of the water , also when the light comes on on the heater they try and get to it through the heater guard lol ..

My albino Cory's are also great to watch , they also never stop , didnt realise they were that active a fish, cant wait till the big tank is cycled so i can get more :D

also like my otos , not the most active of fish but theres something about them that just makes me watch them for ages ..

my brother inlaw was round visiting the other week and couldn't believe how active my tank was , the next day he went and got some Harlequins and albino Cory's :D

Definitely my Dwarf Puffers - they are so so entertaining. They even have facial expressions that make you laugh

i have to say my Angels at the moment. just bought a new tank so that i can have them. I have 2 and two and they were 12 weeks old when i got them, they were the size of a 5p. They always hid and never came out and had to serch for them in the tank. Now they are swimming about in the open, wait for food and follow each other about.

Before i got these i liked watching my Red tailed shark, he's mad! :D

I love watching all my fish, they catch my eye doing different things all the time, but my favourite has to be my catfish or my plecos, the catfish are always busy, and I rarely get to have a good look at my plecs. lol :good: :hey:
