I currently own a aquaclear 150 for my tank, and i want to know what other filters are out there than can clean and filter the water better than mine. Thank you.

You can never go wrong with a large Canister filter, i have one atm and i plan on getting all my tanks canister filters, they make them so clear and clen.

Most fish product sites I visit seem to all agree that the Aqua clear filters are the best HOB filters out there (unless want to get into canister or wet/dry filters (much more expensive)).

Personally I have a Penguin 125 on my 10 Gallon and 2 Emperor 400's on my 125 and I'm very impressed with them both of them. From what I've read there are many that swear by the canisters, although I have no experience with them myself.

I personally prefer externals with a preference to ehiem classic externals.

Another thing i would like to add is u can't go wrong with an external filter. The bigger the better, the more media u can get in it the more stuff u can use to change and stabalize ur water quality (i think) but in terms of filtration the bigger the better unless ur tank becomes a raging river.

if you looking HOB you got the best AC (imo)

i can only buy fluval canister filters here, so i only have experience with them, but i do like them!

i use a combo of both when possible. on my 90, i have a fluval 404, a AC300, and a small "bubble filter" i made. on my 30 (brackish) i have a fluval 304 and AC150. then my other tanks just have AC's on them
