I got hold of some taeniacara candidi some time back. The people I got them from assured they could supply a pair, which turned out to be 2 females. Subsequently, one of them died so the sex did not matter all too muchin the end.
But I now have a lone female...
They were an expensive pair of fish to get, and getting another pair (only sold as pairs) is going to cost another £30. I am slightly hesitant to fork out that kind of money again for another pair, but I don't like to have the poor female all on her own.
I just don't know if I should get more (which will be a challenge to breed), or leave her on her own and get something more readily available, which costs less and which is easier to breed....
What would you do in my place?
