Hey guys, I know there's lots of threads about this already but I can't seem to find any of the Tescos cat litter anywhere, and I've checked around 9 local stores

I noticed in a couple of threads that "Sophisticat Pink" has been mentioned and I can get this in my local PAH but I noticed it said about some Unique Odour control but can it still be used in an tank if I wash it through a few times? I kinda thought it wouldn't be mentioned on here if it wasn't safe?

Need to find something I can use soon as my fish are in a holding tank til I rescape their original one

Cheers

Tescos own brand, low oder. its in a pink bag with a black and white cat on it playing with a ball of wool. about £2.50 a bag.

Yeah all my local stores are sold out thats why Im looking for an alternative, Ive been hunting it for a week and no-one has any on the shelves... is there REALLY that many cat owners in Bristol

I purchased ten bags at once, the girl on the till must have thought I had a Lion instead of a cat
There is also arkamidia, think thats how its splelt. used for growing bonsi trees, don't know how it is for price but if you dont need to much might be an option also look at ukaps.org

Haha or one of those crazy cat owners with like 50 of them running round the house  I only need enough to do out my Rio 125, 2 bags at a push but do you think I can even get 1? No chance!

Akadama ;)

Nathan, PM'ed regarding the cat litter, sorry for the delay.

To answer the question here though.... that cat litter is fine, it's larger granules than the tesco stuff and this is the sole reason i use the tesco stuff over it. The tesco cat litter also contains odour control but as long as it is thoroughly washed it will be fine to use :)

Gonna give the Sophisticat a bash, not that I have much choice with my useless Tesco branch here

I'll report back with how it goes and start a journal later with progress :good:
