Where's My Fish?

Anyone have a fish they wish they saw more? I have an upside down catfish I see maybe once every 3 months. It lives in a crack on some driftwood. Now that my flame moss has over taken the wood I'll never see him again.

Is it a synodontis nigriventris? If so it needs to be kept in groups of 6+. If it's by itself I'm not surprised it's hiding most of the time If it does have buddies then..not sure. I don't think they're the kind to come out as often as other fish anyways.
 
All my fish are out and about, the only thing in my tank I wish I could see more is my bamboo shrimp.

I have a single Naus Cory that I got 3 days ago.   He's all over the tank and often goes up and down the tank walls  and he often chases one of my 3 skirt tetras.   He's very active.

My synos are usually very active and friendly. If yours is hiding, it means it feels uncomfortable or shy. If it needs a school, as pointed out by Ninjouzata, then that might be the issue. It is also possible that it is simply lower on the totem pole, so to speak. If the alpha (usually biggest fish or most aggressive) is very domineering, then perhaps your fish only comes out at night, when it can swim without being chased for its "audacity" to wander into the alphas space.

Its a Synodontis nigriventris I have 2. I see one all the time the larger one never comes out. When I do see em its pretty round and healthy looking.

If you can I'd up their numbers and see what that does. Glad to know they look healthy though!
